The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) is a national network partnering with UIC and CATE to bring professional development opportunities to instructors. They emphasize the importance of 3 core ideas: 1) Learning through diversity; 2) Teaching as research; and 3) Fostering learning communities.
