Inclusion Statement for Classroom and Labs- can be added to syllabus
We aim to create a welcoming classroom environment for all instructors and students. We strive to promote an environment that is free of inappropriate behavior and harassment by or toward all members of the department.
Every student in this class, regardless of their background, sex, gender, race, ethnicity, class, physical or mental ability or any identity category, is a valued and equal member of the group. Disruptive or insulting remarks, gender or racial slurs, misgendering, or other forms of bullying, intimidation or hate speech will not be tolerated.
Students and instructors are expected to treat each other with respect. Inappropriate comments or behavior towards a student should be reported to the course instructor or anonymously (provide link for anonymous reporting). If you have a name and/or set of pronouns that you would prefer over those that appear in your official records, please let the instructor know.
